Characteristics
The Spektrum AR630+ RC receiver is compatible with the Spektrum SMART system and Smart telemetry transmission . The advantage is the built-in new stabilization AS3X+ , which corrects the effects of wind and turbulence using a 3-axis MEMS gyroscope and exclusive software and the SAFE function, which ensures control of the flight envelope. The all-new AS3X+ stabilization algorithm creates better flight performance, increases sensor accuracy, data transfer speed, and provides pilots with a generationally different feel compared to AS3X. There is no delay in control response. You'll simply feel like you're flying an expertly tuned model that does exactly what you want it to do.
SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope)
The SAFE system prevents oversteer when cornering and also limits climbs and descents. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to level flight. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models. In the menu of Spektrum G2, iX and MX transmitters there is a FORWARD PROGRAMMING menu, which can be used to set the AS3X and SAFE functions.
Compatibility with the Spektrum Smart system
The Spetrum AR630+ is ready for use with Avian SMART controllers . Receiver output no. 1 (THRO - gas) automatically detects the connection of the SMART controller.
If a SMART controller is connected, the receiver automatically reads available telemetry data from the controller (and possibly from the connected SMART battery). Otherwise, a standard servo signal appears at the output and a conventional controller or servo can be connected.
Adjustable Fail-Safe
The AR630+ RC receiver supports 2 types of Fail-Safe system
- Preset Failsafe : When the signal fails, the channel goes to the preset deviation (deflection during pairing). This type is used in gliders.
- SmartSafe + Hold Last : moves the throttle channel to the preset position (low throttle) that was set during pairing. All other channels will retain their last position. As soon as the receiver detects a signal from the transmitter, the control function is restored. We recommend using this type of Fail-Safe for regular (acrobatic) models.
The Fail-Safe type can be set for individual channels using a computer with the Spektrum Programmer application + Spektrum USB programming cable or programmable transmitters in the Forward Programming menu. By default, the throttle channel is set to Preset and the other channels to Last Hold. The deviation for the Preset type is set during pairing or via the Forward Programming menu.
Easy pairing with the push of a button
You don't need a pairing plug anymore! To pair, just press the button with the Spektrum logo on the top of the receiver. Pairing can be activated both when the power is turned on and by pressing the button after the power is turned on. This is advantageous where simultaneously pressing the button and connecting the power supply is very difficult to manage "at once".
The possibility of pairing the receiver using the pairing connector connected to the Bind/Prog/SRXL output was still maintained.
AS3X+® (3-AXIS STABILIZATION)
The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and an accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, control of the model is simplified, e.g. in windy weather. The model responds similarly to a much larger model and its flight is smooth without limiting its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in driving.
The all-new AS3X+ features a significantly improved stabilization algorithm that has been thoroughly tested by experts. The system is even easier to tune and can easily be optimized for whatever type of aircraft you fly. Major AS3X+ enhancements include:
- Stop Lock and Release Rate parameters
- Heading Hold Improvement
- Improved gyro filtering (denoise)
- Canard and thrust vectoring support
Downloading settings from the receiver
Downloading settings from the receiver (Smart Transmitter Model Files) is a new feature on the AR630+ receiver that makes transmitter setup easier than ever. A set of model configuration parameters is stored in a file in the receiver. When pairing a transmitter with a receiver containing one of these model files, the user will be prompted to download said file and overwrite the currently selected model in the transmitter with the model stored in the receiver. This will give the user an easy and simple way to get the transmitter model settings for their BNF model without having to set it up themselves or search and download it.
Note: iX20, iX14 and NX transmitters are currently supported with the latest firmware updates.
SAFE technology
Thanks to the SAFE technology used, even a less experienced pilot can control the aircraft models. The SAFE system will prevent oversteer in a turn to prevent the aircraft from going into extreme positions. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models.
SMART telemetry
A complete solution for transmitting telemetry data to a compatible transmitter is offered by the AR630+ receiver together with the Avian controller and the SMART battery. Important telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature and rpm are sent directly to your transmitter in real time.
FORWARD PROGRAMMING
You can set up the AR630+ receiver wirelessly, directly from a compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, using the Forward Programming menu. No other device such as a computer or mobile device is needed to set up and edit.
Integrated antenna
The new concept of the Spektrum AR630 receiver reduces the risk of damage to the antenna, now the antenna is simply hidden in the receiver box and there is no risk of damage. The antenna is part of the printed circuit board, its shape has been optimized so that the RC receiver has at least the same or better range compared to the standard design of antennas.
