    Characteristics


    The Spektrum AR8360T+ RC receiver with telemetry is compatible with the Spektrum SMART system. The advantage is the built-in new stabilization AS3X+ , which corrects the effects of wind and turbulence using a 3-axis MEMS gyroscope and exclusive software and the SAFE function, which ensures control of the flight envelope.
    The receiver has an integrated barometric sensor that measures height and vario. Possibility of connecting an additional SRXL2 receiver or a Spektrum Serial SRXL2 receiver with telemetry.

    The Spektrum™ AR8360T+ 8-channel receiver is a DSM2® and DSMX® compatible receiver with compact dimensions suitable for a wide range of aircraft models. It features full-range telemetry, an integrated barometric sensor, and includes XBUS and temperature ports that can be used when additional telemetry sensors available separately are added.



    Note *: Spektrum DX7S and DX8 Gen 1 transmitters will not display altitude or variometer telemetry with the AR8360T+ receiver.



    SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope)

    The SAFE system prevents oversteer when cornering and also limits climbs and descents. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to level flight. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models. In the menu of Spektrum G2, iX and MX transmitters there is a FORWARD PROGRAMMING menu, which can be used to set the AS3X and SAFE functions.



    Two antennas and compact dimensions

    RC aircraft models with a significant part of the structure made of carbon fiber or laminate can create a shading effect and reduce the range. The Spektrum AR8360T+ receiver is designed to eliminate range issues in aircraft from these materials by having two independent external antennas to ensure safe signal reception. One antenna is 155 mm long and the other antenna is 186 mm long. They can be easily mounted outside the hull. Thanks to compact dimensions and longitudinally located connectors, installation is easy even in narrow hulls.



    Compatibility with the Spektrum Smart system

    The Spetrum AR8360T+ is ready for use with Avian SMART controllers . Receiver output #1 (THRO - gas) automatically detects the connection of the SMART controller.

    If a SMART controller is connected, the receiver automatically reads available telemetry data from the controller (and possibly from the connected SMART battery). Otherwise, a standard servo signal appears at the output and a conventional controller or servo can be connected.



    Adjustable Fail-Safe

    The AR8360T+ RC receiver supports 2 types of Fail-Safe system




    1. Preset Failsafe : When the signal fails, the channel goes to the preset deviation (deflection during pairing). This type is used in gliders.
    2. SmartSafe + Hold Last : moves the throttle channel to the preset position (low throttle) that was set during pairing. All other channels will retain their last position. As soon as the receiver detects a signal from the transmitter, the control function is restored. We recommend using this type of Fail-Safe for regular (acrobatic) models.


    The Fail-Safe type can be set for individual channels using a computer with the Spektrum Programmer application + Spektrum USB programming cable or programmable transmitters in the menu Forward Programming . By default, the throttle channel is set to Preset and the other channels to Last Hold. The deviation for the Preset type is set during pairing or via the Forward Programming menu.



    Full range telemetry

    The telemetry transmit power is 100 mW EIRP, which guarantees full telemetry range . The receiver is equipped with an XBUS port for connecting other telemetry sensors and a connector for measuring external voltage. The receiver has an integrated barometric sensor , so the receiver measures altitude as well as vario. The list of available sensors is given in Recommended accessories. A temperature sensor is not available for this receiver.



    Easy pairing with the push of a button

    You don't need a pairing plug anymore! To pair, just press the button with the Spektrum logo on the top of the receiver. Pairing can be activated both when the power is turned on and by pressing the button after the power is turned on. This is advantageous where pressing the button and connecting the power at the same time is very difficult to manage "at once".



    The possibility of pairing the receiver using the pairing connector connected to the Bind/Prog/SRXL output was still maintained.

    AS3X+® (3-AXIS STABILIZATION)

    The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and an accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, the control of the model is simplified, for example in windy weather. The model responds similarly to a much larger model and its flight is smooth without limiting its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in driving.


    The all-new AS3X+ features a significantly improved stabilization algorithm that has been thoroughly tested by experts. The system is even easier to tune and can easily be optimized for whatever type of aircraft you fly. Major AS3X+ enhancements include:



    • Stop Lock and Release Rate parameters
    • Heading Hold Improvement
    • Improved gyro filtering (denoise)
    • Canard and thrust vectoring support

    Downloading settings from the receiver

    Downloading settings from the receiver (Smart Transmitter Model Files) is a new feature on the AR8360T+ receiver that makes transmitter setup easier than ever. A set of model configuration parameters is stored in a file in the receiver. When pairing a transmitter with a receiver containing one of these model files, the user will be prompted to download said file and overwrite the currently selected model in the transmitter with the model stored in the receiver. This will give the user an easy and simple way to get the transmitter model settings for their BNF model without having to set it up themselves or search and download it.



    Note: iX20, iX14 and NX transmitters are currently supported with the latest firmware updates.

    FORWARD PROGRAMMING

    You can set up the AR8360T+ receiver wirelessly, directly from a compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, using the Forward Programming menu. No other device such as a computer or mobile device is needed to set up and edit.

    SAFE technology

    Thanks to the SAFE technology used, even a less experienced pilot can control the aircraft models. The SAFE system will prevent oversteer in a turn to prevent the aircraft from going into extreme positions. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models.

    Panic function

    If you lose your orientation, you can use the Panic rescue button, which will put the model into horizontal flight. You will then be able to return to driving the model again.
