The Dodge Power Wagon, an innovative multi-purpose vehicle, played a key role in the building of America. Production cars that were produced before the Second World War with rear-wheel drive were not ideal for demanding agricultural and construction work. During the war, soldiers on the battlefield used 4x4 Power Wagons to move supplies and wounded troops. Therefore, these trucks created a demand, thanks to which Dodge began to be produced in the mid-1940s in a civilian version as well.
The 1940s Axial SCX24 Dodge Power Wagon offers a unique take on this off-road classic as a four-door wagon built on the proven SCX24 platform. You can add this model to your SCX24 kit collection, it's for any Axial fan and the perfect choice for anyone who wants performance and value in an RC crawler.
The model has a great detailed licensed Dodge Power Wagon body. In addition to the front LED lighting, the bodywork includes a mock-up front grille, rear-view mirrors, door handles, wipers, a body with a folding rear end, mudguards and bumpers. For the perfect look, the windows are clear so you can see the interior with the driver figure. The body is made of durable ABS material.
With the Axial SCX24 Dodge Power Wagon RC car model, you can drive at home, in the garden and create your own track from smaller stones or branches. Simply charge the battery with the USB charger, put it in the car and you're good to go. The realistic bodywork and large off-road wheels with an above-standard ground clearance evoke the appearance of a world-famous car. The basis is a powerful drive, which consists of a Dynamite 88T engine with a multi-row transmission that supplies the necessary power to the axles. The torque is transmitted from the gearbox to splined shafts and solid axles via a worm gearbox. Therefore, there is no need for a brake and the torque knows no bounds.
Oil-filled shock absorbers create a suspension system that smoothly absorbs bumps and remains stable over the roughest terrain. Pro-Line Interco Super Swamper tires on Pro-Line Impulse Bead-Loc wheels add grip and clearance to overcome any challenge. Everything you'll need to operate is included - a Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz transmitter, a Spektrum 350mAh 2S 30C 7.4V LiPo battery, a Spektrum USB LiPo charger and even four AA batteries for the transmitter.
The model is equipped with an officially licensed DODGE POWER WAGON 1940 model body that faithfully replicates the details with which it is richly equipped. The Dodge Power Wagon has high-performance Pro-Line Super Swamper tires mounted on 3-piece Pro-Line Impulse Beadlock discs, providing off-road looks and excellent traction, offering a fantastic combination of off-road performance while maintaining excellent on-road performance.
Shock absorbers significantly affect the quality of the ride, so the model has oil shock absorbers that allow smooth driving on uneven terrain. The preload of the springs can be adjusted so that you can fine-tune the level of suspension according to the nature of the terrain.
The Spektrum SLT2 dual-channel transmitter offers a number of useful features such as throttle path adjustment and throttle control and limiting. It is ergonomically designed for long rides without fatigue and has a foam steering wheel for precise control. The RTR package is thus complete, including the transmitter's AA batteries.
Like the platform of the larger SCX10™ II 1:10 scale chassis, the SCX24™ chassis features robust C-profile steel frame members to ensure high chassis rigidity and strength, keeping the chassis sufficiently rigid even with high axle torsion.
The Tazer 180 88T engine on the SCX24 chassis is specially designed for 1:24 RC car models, where, together with the optimally adjusted gearbox, it provides the axles with the necessary torque for steep climbs.
The front and rear differentials are equipped with a worm gear to ensure that maximum power is transferred to the axles and at the same time ensure constant braking when the car stops. Small dimensions will allow you to create a greater ground clearance.
The front and rear rigid axles are assembled from a two-part plastic molding in which the drive steel shafts are mounted in ball bearings. For optimal handling, the SCX24™ suspension is equipped with a three-point front and four-point rear suspension.
The high torque of the worm gear requires the use of steel drive shafts. Only they can transfer power to the wheels even on difficult climbs.
The front and rear drive shafts from the central gearbox to the differentials are 2-piece splined and allow maximum axial displacement of the shafts while maintaining the transmitted power.
For maximum mobility, reduction of axle rotation and elimination of torque, a 4-point suspension design was developed, which is used on the rear axle of the Dodge Power Wagon.
Although it is a small model, it is equipped with the same ball bearings as a large car. No sliding bearings, only ball bearings. If you drive in a wet or dusty environment, don't forget to clean and lubricate!

To power the USB charger, we recommend using the powerful Network universal USB adapter (source) 3.1A (15W).
A charging cable with an IC3 battery reducer - JST-PH is required to connect the battery to the charger.
Hobbyzone charger 12VDC 2xLiPol 300mA can be used to charge the battery. The charger is intended for connection and power supply from a 12V DC car plug. For power supply from the 230V mains, we recommend the Traxxas mains supply 13.8V 3.5A with a car socket.
The model can be upgraded to AC drive using a sensor motor and controller. This Combo was specially developed for the SCX24 and AX24 platform. The alternating sensor drive offers high performance, long life and precise speed control corresponding to the throttle position. Upgrading this model requires: AC motor with controller, receiver and transmitter. After upgrading the drive, the model's lights can be powered from the new receiver, but the lights will not be controllable.

For the normal operation of the Axial RC car, you need tire glue, screw glue and a set of tools. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range. The model also uses screws in inch units, so we recommend a 1/20" Allen screwdriver.
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer.
For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, worm gear in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time. Conversely, the LiPo battery is especially susceptible to mechanical damage.
