Hitec D series servos
The new Hitec D series digital servos combine the ultra-fast response, accuracy and high resolution of 4096 steps of the HS-8xxx servo series with the programming capabilities of the HS-7xxx series servos. In fact, they far outperform existing servos thanks to a 32-bit processor and 12-bit ADC converter. In addition, they offer a "Wide Voltage" function allowing the use of power from batteries in a wide range of nominal voltages from 4.8 to 7.4 V.
32-bit MCU/12-bit ADC
The new 32-bit Hitec processor coupled with a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter converting the signal from the feedback potentiometer offers the best response yet achieved among RC model servos. You can also use the DPC-11 universal PC interface (applicable to all Hitec programmable servos) to tune your D series servos for maximum performance (deflection size, resolution, fail-safe, soft start, etc.) in a wide range of applications.
Wide Voltage
The Hitec "Wide Voltage" technology supports all types of receiver accumulators with a nominal voltage of 4.8-7.4 V. This means that you can directly power the servos, for example, from a four- to six-cell NiMH or NiCd accumulator, two-cell LiFe, LiPo or Li-ion - of course, it must be remembered that the thrust and speed of the servo depend on the size of the supply voltage.
Output shaft with 25-tooth helix
The output shaft of the D-series servos has a 25-tooth helix as standard (among other things, it allows for more accurate adjustment of the lever perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the servo) and new levers with a corresponding helix are used (not compatible with older Hitec servos).
Soft start
Soft start protects the servo and the rudder control mechanism when the on-board electronics are switched on - after switching on the servo slowly moves to the neutral position - there is no jerking
Programmable functions
Smart
A new control algorithm preventing self-oscillation of the servo during a "sharp" setting of the servo insensitivity band, saving transmissions and reducing current consumption.
With the help of the new DPC-11 programmer/USB interface, you can set a number of parameters on the D series servos to perfectly adapt the servo to your application. D series servos have consistently high resolution; with the help of the "deflection size (EPA)" function, you can set the servo deflection range up to 180° (with a control signal with pulses of 0.9-2.1 ms width). Programmable values are:
- reset to factory defaults
- deadband width (adjustable in 10 steps)
- sense of rotation
- rotation speed
- neutral
- soft start
- deflection size (up to 180°)
- enable or disable fail-safe
- fail-safe emergency deflection setting
- overload protection (power limitation 0-50% in case of overload)
D131MW
Very strong micro servo with metal gears with output shaft mounted on two ball bearings for use in RC models of all types. It is stored in an all-metal box for perfect cooling even during high operating loads.
Extended supply voltage range of 3.7-8.4V voltage allowing power from 1-2S LiPo or other source with corresponding voltage. Thanks to the 8.5mm height box, it is especially suitable for controlling ailerons and flaps in RC glider models, and is also excellent for 1:24-1:18 RC cars.
