A family board game starring eight classic characters (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and others) divided into teams of two that must navigate the Green Hill zone while watching out for sabotage by other players. More specifically, you can show them how much you care by sending them to the spike field. Simply charming!
Even taking into account these sabotages, the game lasts about 20 minutes and is suitable for two to four players aged seven and up.
This is a strategic yet accessible Sonic board game that is very simple to set up. Players then use the cards in the game to advance their team to the finish line. At the same time, however, they try to anticipate the moves of other players and carefully choose the cards they will play. So you need to be careful about your "fellow competitors", who will work to harm you as much as possible and collect gold rings.
As mentioned above, the goal of the game is to be the first to reach the finish line with both figures of your two-man team. Players control pieces with team-colored number cards, but there's a catch. Cards are dealt randomly, so you'll often have to move your opponents' pieces as well. So you need to plan well and try to play cards at the best possible moment to help yourself and harm others.
On the map you will find accelerating rings, decelerating spikes, difficult lopings and bonus squares where you will get special cards that will help you in the race. And who makes the two-person teams? After all, Sonic and Tails, Amy Rose and Knuckles, Shadow with Silver or maybe Metal Sonic with Rouge.
Unsurprisingly, this board game aims to take you back to your childhood while introducing the younger members of the family to the joy of the world of Sonic.
