    Template information:

The sixth generation Ford F-Series, also known to enthusiasts as the "dentside Ford", is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial vehicles produced by the Ford Motor Company from model years 1973 to 1979. It was produced by Ford in North America, Argentina and Australia and is the third and final generation of trucks derived from the 1965 Ford F-Series.

The sixth generation brought several functional design changes and an expansion of the model range. In 1973, the F-350 regular cab with a "Styleside" wide bed was available for the first time. For 1974, the "SuperCab" extended-cab pick-up was introduced between the two-door standard cab and the four-door crew cab. In 1975, the F-150 was introduced; the higher payload version of the F-100 (designed to circumvent emissions standards) became the most popular version of the model line (eventually replacing the F-100). The second generation of the Ford Bronco SUV was launched in 1978 (after several years of delays) on the shortened chassis of the F-100 model.

In 1977, this model line became the best-selling truck in the United States and has maintained that position to this day.
