The Audi e-tron is a group of electric cars and hybrid concept cars presented by the Audi car company since 2009.

In 2010, Audi launched a development program aimed at producing a limited series of R8 e-tron cars.[6][7] The R8 e-tron made a brief appearance in the 2013 American film Iron Man 3.[8] After 10 prototypes were made for research and development purposes. Since the car is still in the concept stage, many performance specifications remain unspecified. The car will have four electric motors, one for each wheel, which together will develop a torque of 4500 Nm. The top speed for e-tron cars is limited to 222 km/h. The car can travel 240 km on a single charge.
