    Template information:

Nissan Skyline GT-R (Nissan Sukairain GT-R) is a sports car based on the Nissan Skyline series. The first cars named "Skyline GT-R" were produced from 1969 to 1972 under the model code KPGC10 and were successful in Japanese touring car racing. This model was followed in 1973 by a short serial production of cars of the second generation under the model code KPGC110.

Powered by a 1,989cc S20 straight-six engine, the second generation GT-R sent power to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. This car also had front and rear disc brakes. The suspension was set up as a semi-trailing arm and minor aerodynamic parts were added. This GT-R model was also known as the Kenmeri Skyline, thanks to a popular advertisement showing a young couple (Ken and Mary) enjoying the Hokkaido countryside.

The second generation GT-R was unsuccessful as the gasoline crisis hit in the early 1970s, reducing demand for high-performance sports cars. By the end of the short production cycle, a total of 197 cars were produced. It was the last GT-R for the next decade until the R32 was produced in 1989.
