At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti unveiled a track-focused version of the Chiron called the Chiron Sport. Mechanically, the car is identical to the regular version, generating 1,103 kW (1,479 PS; 1,500 hp) from a quad-turbo W16 engine. It is 18 kg lighter thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber. It has stiffer suspension to increase the car's cornering ability while maintaining its grand touring qualities. The car's steering wheel has also been revised and a torque vectoring system has been added, which controls the power transmitted to each wheel of the car for better handling in tight corners. Special attention was paid to aerodynamic improvements and low weight to make the car competitive on the race track.
