"Hermann Marwede" is one of the most modern ships of its kind in the world. It is also the largest marine rescue vessel ever in Germany. The ship was given its name in the summer of 2003 and its berth is on Helgoland, a North Sea island. It reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots (46.3 km / h, 28.75 mph) and its maximum range is 3926 km (2438 miles). The drive is provided by three engines with a total output of 9250 hp. The ship has its own small hospital, crane, inflatable boat, firefighting equipment and helicopter landing. There is also a smaller coastal craft on the ship that can drive up to 18 knots (21 mph) and can operate in shallow waters. Since its establishment in 1865, members of the DGzRS (German Maritime Emergency Service) have rescued over 76,000 people from fatal situations. Revell Contacta Professional Plastics Adhesive
