The Airbus A330-300 is a twin-engine wide-body airliner. Designed to carry approximately 300 passengers, it features a balanced range and efficiency ratio that makes it popular for medium and long-haul flights around the world. All variants of the A330 are powered by Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce and General Electric engines. The improved engines make the A330-300 much greener and quieter than earlier A330 variants. The A330-300 is characterized by low fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. The first flight of the A330 took place on November 1, 1992. To date, more than 1,600 aircraft of the various A330 series have been produced.
