Original information:
Ilyushin IL-86 is the first and most important Russian wide-haul transport aircraft in series production. Ilyushina's design office started to develop IL-86 in the early 1970s. His first prototype was completed at the end of 1976. The Russian national airline "Aeroflot" has been using it fully since the 1980s. Altogether, 103 machines were built, most of which are operated by various Russian airlines today.
