Models in 1:18 scale are among the smallest RC car models. They are intended primarily for pleasure and recreational driving. They are powered by an electric motor, so they can be operated at home and their maintenance requirements are minimal. Due to their size, they are not intended for very difficult terrain and it is necessary to avoid operation in water and mud.
The construction is mostly plastic, a "380" AC motor is used for propulsion, which drives all four wheels (4WD) via a permanent transmission. The on-board part of the RC kit consists of a 2.4Ghz receiver, a two-way speed controller and a steering servo. The chassis is based on larger models, so it boasts independent wheel suspension, oil shock absorbers , etc. An RC kit operating in the 2.4Ghz band is used for control.
