16mm Front Shock Springs, Green 4.85 lb/in, L68, 8.0T, 1.5D, 2 Pc

Team Associated is launching a new range of 1.50mm (1.5D) springs to tune the RC8B4.1 for rough and bumpy surfaces. As part of the ongoing 1:8 scale development, the team's riders noticed that the current range of 1.6mm springs worked well on fast surfaces with higher grip, but struggled with consistent grip on ungroomed tracks.

Changing the wire diameter to 1.5mm gives the spring a different natural frequency and tension so it can more easily compress and conform to the track surface with less grip. Coupled with new softer front and rear coilovers, the new range of springs are ideal for rough surfaces where traction is at a premium. Both front and rear springs are shortened from the previous series (front spring from 70mm to 68mm and rear spring from 86mm to 83mm) to optimize the package with the new lower RC8B4.1 antlers.

Properties:

• 1.5D front springs in new coils from 4.45 to 5.05 lb/in versus 5.1 lb/in supplied in the kit.
• 68mm front springs fit 16mm shocks on RC8B4.1, RC8B4 and older models.
• 1.5D rear springs in new coils from 3.40 to 3.75 lb/in versus the 3.7 lb/in supplied in the kit.
• 83mm rear springs fit 16mm shocks on RC8B4.1, RC8B4 and older models.
• Both the front and rear springs have their coils graduated in 0.25 increments to fine-tune the amount of grip, making them ideal for rough conditions to gain traction and handling over bumps.
• All 1.5D springs are color coded on both ends to distinguish them from 1.6D springs (color coded on one end).
