The Bedford QL Tank Freight Car was with over 52,000 units manufactured between 1941 and 1945 one of the largest British vehicles in the Second World War. QL, designed either as a multipurpose truck or as a unit carrier, was powered by a 3.5-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine with a power of 72 hp, which allowed it to travel at a maximum speed of 61 km / h. Thanks to its high altitude, off-road tires and four-speed power transmission on all four wheels, located in the middle of the chassis (with a total of 8 gear ratios forwards), QL has outstanding mobility in the field.
