Original information:
Armstrong Whitworth Whitley was one of three midterm bombers serving at the RAF at the time of World War II. Despite its low speed, poor practical access and small weapon capacity, Whitley for RAF was an important machine at that time and formed the backbone of early night bomber units. Later, it was used by the Coastal Command during the war and also as a glider glider.
