Information about the original:

Armored cars of the AB series were developed by Fiat-Ansaldo and were used by reconnaissance units of the Italian "Regio Esercito". After the introduction of the first AB-40 version, the successor AB-41 was created, which had a more powerful engine and was armed with a 20 mm Breda 20/65 cannon. In addition, it had an 8mm Breda Mod coupled machine gun installed in the turret. 38. Technically, the AB 41 car had four-wheel drive and two seats for the driver, one in the front and one in the back. Thanks to its speed of 70 km/h and reliability on the road and in the field, crews appreciated it not only during routine but also advanced reconnaissance missions. The vehicle was protected by riveted plate armor. The AB-41 was mostly deployed by the Regio Esercito units on the North African front, but actually appeared on all major fronts of World War II, where it was used by Italian and German units after 1943.
