Original and model information:
Bristol Type 142, later referred to as Blenheim, was ordered directly from the drawing board and for its time it was a very advanced aircraft. Until the beginning of World War II, however, the development of fighter aircraft overtook him. Nevertheless, Blenheim was widely used by the British Air Force as a light bomber and fighter, and during World War II participated in the fighting on all major fronts. From 1943, however, he was gradually decommissioned to replace it with more modern types of aircraft, which were less vulnerable in the air.
