Original Information:
The Messerschmitt Me262 was the world's first operable jet fighter. Initial combat operations participated in one-seat variants piloted by some of the most experienced Luftwaffe pilots. Soon, however, followed a two-seat training version, which allowed other new pilots to become familiar with this advanced technology, without having to switch from their piston engines to complete their first flights on the jet immediately.
