Introducing the SCX6 Trail Honcho Giant Remote Control Car Model. The 1:6 scale Axial SCX6 chassis has taken RC crawler and expedition model driving to a new level thanks to its size and off-road capabilities. All fans of rough off-roads will be delighted by the realistic functional processing of the chassis and the detailed body of the Honcho with distinctive front and rear LED lighting.
Based on the proven SCX10™ III chassis, a new, larger and even more durable SCX6™ chassis has been designed. Panhard three-point front suspension, rear four-point suspension and AR90 axles form the maximum equipment for overcoming all obstacles. The model is equipped with a high-end Spektrum Smart 120A regulator and a powerful AC motor, which is sensor-based and therefore provides absolutely smooth operation from the lowest speeds. A 2-speed remote-controlled transmission with a Spektrum S614 servo is installed for technical driving and fast crossings.
The massive 7" Falken Wildpeak M/T tires have excellent grip and give the car plenty of ground clearance for driving over rocks and all terrain irregularities. The tires are mounted on licensed 3-piece Black Rhino Primm wheels so the tires can be easily removed, dried or replace without gluing.
With the included Spektrum™ DX3™ transmitter, the model has excellent range, fast response and immunity to interference. Together with the installed Spektrum Smart electronics, the model is ready to provide exclusive telemetry data. Install a Spektrum™ Smart LiPol battery and you can already monitor the charge status of the model's drive battery on the transmitter. (Other telemetry options listed below).
Based on years of proven 1:10 scale chassis - SCX10™ III, the new 1:6 scale SCX6™ chassis takes durability, functionality and performance to the next level with features that include a steel chassis, four-wheel drive, multi-link suspension, AR90 axles, oil big shocks and more.
The Axial® SCX6™ Honcho 4WD RTR is factory equipped with two high and low gear speeds. The gearbox is controlled remotely via a transmitter, the model is equipped with Servo S614 15 kg with metal gears.
AR90 axles are equipped with metal gears for high durability. The front weights have raised pivots with the steering linkage to maintain a high ground clearance. The rear axle can be adjusted for optional rear steering.
The electronics of the model are hidden under the mockup of the V8 engine, which protects it and at the same time gives the model a realistic appearance.
For optimal driving characteristics, the model on the SCX6™ chassis is equipped with a durable three-point front and four-point rear suspension.

Battery compartments are located on the right and left side of the chassis. You can use just one LiPol drive battery, or if you want to extend the run time, you can add a second one on the opposite side of the chassis using a Spektrum Y-cable IC5 parallel cable with a battery connector.
The modernized version of the original Honcho body has a truggy style rear frame cage with a working spare wheel, traction plates and even a box to store tools or spare parts! The detailed interior adds realism to the model.
The model is equipped with impressive LED lighting for evening rides. Led lighting includes front headlights, rear taillights, front orange LEDs in the bumper and mock-up lights at the front pillars.
Control is provided by the S905 servo with huge power (moment: 38 kg.cm at 6V voltage, speed: 0.2s/60° at 6V), it is waterproof* and dustproof. Durable metal gears provide long life and mechanical resistance. The dimensions of the servo are 60 x 55 x 29 mm.
The robust and powerful Spektrum Firma 5684 1200Kv AC motor features a 4-pole, 8-magnet rotor with a CNC-machined aluminum housing, insulated high-purity copper windings, high-quality alloy steel output shaft and precision bearings for high durability and clean running. Gold plated 4mm pin connectors for easy installation.
The control of the model is provided by a modern AC sensor controller SPEKTRUM FIRMA CRAWLER 120A SMART with a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller, which is able to capture complete telemetry and transmit it to the receiver using an integrated wire in the new IC5 connector. Data is transmitted via the SRXL2 protocol. The controller reads information about the type, temperature and voltage of the battery cells directly from the Smart battery. Current, temperature, total Smart battery voltage, Smart battery cell voltage, battery temperature, remaining capacity and engine speed are available in real time.
The electronics are completely encased in a special potting material that prevents moisture* or dirt from entering the electronics. The regulator is switched on with a button under the rubber cover.
The new Spektrum DX3 RC transmitter has 3 channels and is compatible with Spektrum Smart telemetry. Excellent range, super fast response and high resistance to interference thanks to the exclusive Spektrum DSMR technology. Quick setting of the necessary parameters.
The model is equipped with components with Spektrum Smart technology , which offers more information about the model, easier operation and battery care. All SMART components, including batteries, are capable of communicating with each other and transmitting telemetry.
The included DX3 transmitter displays the state of charge of the Smart battery in the model.

In order to put the model into operation, it is necessary to purchase a drive battery and an adequate charger for the drive battery.
To drive the model, we recommend a 3-cell LiPo battery (11.1 V), with an EC5 or IC5 connector.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. In addition, G2 batteries have up to 3x faster automatic discharge into storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged on Spektrum Smart chargers.
Spektrum Smart chargers can charge both Smart and Smart G2 batteries as well as conventional batteries. Previously sold Spektrum chargers also support Smart G2 batteries after an update.
For normal operation of Losi RC cars, you need screw glue, good quality tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers and a set of screwdrivers. The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving prevent the screw joint from loosening. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. For these cases, so-called repair kits are supplied. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
