New body according to the rules of Global Body Spec 1: 8. In the past, GT8 cars have always been characterized by the body of a sports car with a front cabin. But in recent years, the rapid progress of full-fledged GTs has evolved in the Supercar and later in the Hypercar, which made its way to the big 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2020. The PROTOform racing body changes the game, bringing the 1: 8th GT to the 21st Century. And in style and performance. The radical, low-lying shape features a unique rear wing with a molded Gurney flap. Low-resistance vents can be cut out in the rear window area to allow efficient engine cooling if required.

Hyper-SS meets all 1: 8 GT Global rules and is already approved for IFMAR competition at the upcoming World Championships. To finish, you need to paint the body. Lexan bodies are always delivered as a semi-finished product intended for cutting and painting. First of all, the body needs to be nicely cut out, and the curved lexan scissors will help you to make the wheel holes as round as possible. For flat surfaces, we also offer straight scissors for lexan. When choosing colors for the polycarbonate body, care must be taken to buy a really lexan spray, eg H-SPEED lexan spray 150ml white, which has a special composition so that it is etched into the body, the colors are then flexible and resistant to peeling and cracking even in the event of the greatest impact. Before painting, the body must be thoroughly degreased, most manufacturers recommend washing the body with spring water. After degreasing, use masking tape from the inside of the body, eg 24mm masking tape to create the design of your choice, or stick the masking stickers supplied by the manufacturer on windows and lights. It is important to know that lexan bodies are painted from the inside, so that the body becomes abrasion resistant. Varnishing should preferably take place in rooms with room temperature. We apply individual colors in at least three layers, it is important to apply the color from a sufficient distance, at least 15-20 cm .
