Description
The result of the 2014 BTCC season decided only on the last race day at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent. Pilot Colin Turkington, in his BMW eBay Motors, had to go ahead with the challenge of Jason Plato of MG, the most successful BTCC pilot in history! Even the impressive double for Plato and Tordoff was not enough and Turkington managed to secure the final victory.
Season 2015 had a dramatic conclusion and ended with a title for Scotland Gordon Shedden after one of the most exciting races of the season. In front of a record crowd of 42,000 viewers, this pilot Honda Yuasa Racing needed to finish in sixth place to secure the overall title. In the race to which Shedden started from 19th place, he progressed forward and eventually managed to capture enough points to put the winner of the Jason Plata race in second place overall. The exciting conclusion of this race was an amazing farewell to another of the great seasons and perfectly illustrated what a typical high-octane battle in the BTCC looks like.
