The M-ATV was specially designed and developed for use by US troops in Afghanistan, belonging to the MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle class.
This means that the M-ATV (MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle) is mine-resistant thanks to its armored body and is thus protected from ambush attacks.
In addition, it is off-road and was developed for use on bad roads and in difficult terrain. The M-ATV weighs approximately 11 tons and has space for 4 soldiers plus machine guns. Approximately 10,000 M-ATVs have been delivered since July 2009.
