What has been a habit in the automobile industry for years, now penetrates RC modeling! Hitec introduces a new SkyScout training and school model based on the "EasyStar II" gaming platform set up in the Multiplex development workshops. Proven model from almost unbreakable ELAPOR.
SkyScout is a reliable school and drill that satisfies beginner pilots, ranging from the initial darting of the landing surface to basic aerobatic turns and thermal sailing. Equally pleased with a weekend holiday flyer to provide a storage and easy-to-carry model for a perfect relaxing flight, a camera carrier, a FPV system platform ... whatever you want!
SkyScout is a school and training motor glider made of high-performance ELAPOR powered by AC motor. Thanks to its pylon-mounted concept behind the wing, it very well resists rough handling and tolerates the harder "guttometric" plugging of the nacelle into the native clamshell, which, at classic models with a bow engine, would at least lead to propeller damage.
A fuselage mounted motor (rotary jacket, C2812-1100) mounted in the pylon behind the wing with a tilting propeller fitted with 18A controller and HS-55 rudder and elevator servos is molded from a foam EPP. The cab cover is removable with the classic MULTIPLEX "snap" shutters. The two-piece wing is also molded from EPP, pre-molded shafts are prepared for the ailerons, and the levers and pulls are required in the kit. The wings half are connected by a carbon tube coupling.
Tailored areas in a classic arrangement are molded from EPP, they are controlled by wire lanes. The horizontal tail surface is removable for easy transport.
Flight preparation includes only the deployment of wing halves, fixing the horizontal tail surface, receiver connection, and connecting the drive accumulator." Controls are the rudder, elevator and engine speed; Adding aileron control is a matter of several tens of minutes.
To control the model, you will need any at least four-channel Hitec 2.4GHz RC set that will "understand" with the Mini 6S receiver. Of course, you can add aileron control without any problem. If you decide to do so, you will need two more HS-55 servos.
SkyScout is powered by a 13.1-liter 11.1 V Li-Poly battery pack (15C capacity), but SkyScout delivers up to 2200 mAh of three-cell kits.
The Hitec CG-115 DC 12-volt charger is charging the battery.
SkyScout is designed for beginners - as we always supply - under the supervision of an experienced pilot, as well as for anyone who wants to enjoy the pleasure of flying. Its flight characteristics are pleasant and unforgettable. The model will familiarize you with the directional and elevator control of the model - and, if the aileron and aileron control are added. By changing the length of lever ratios on servos and rudders, you can set the magnitude of deflections in a large range. The beginner will start with small deflections, safe even when overriding "steering"; The experienced pilot sets up large, allowing even a bit of the basic glider acrobatics - sweeping, barrel bends, twisting turns, SkyScoute goes pretty well! The engine performance is sufficient for a lively climb, but the model is not overloaded, which could make it difficult for the start-up pilots. SkyScout can also use a non-strong thermic and can hold "the ages" in the sky.
ARF set includes: fuselage molded from ELAPOR with mounted C2812-1100 AC motor, 7x6 "folding propeller, HBE-18A speed controller, 2 HS-55 servos, ELAPOR pressed wing, horizontal ELAPOR tail, carbon tube connector and detailed Building instructions.
