The package of the RC model of the Fox MDM-1 3.5m ARF glider includes finished parts of the model in orange, white and black, cabin with frame, seats and dashboards, aluminum tube 18x1mm with glued carbon rod with a diameter of 16mm, landing gear 100mm, mounting accessories , a multilingual manual in English and German and instructions in Czech.
In the world of aerobatic gliders, the MDM-1 FOX is already a legend. The machine was developed for uncompromising acrobatics and is a grateful model for modelers. Fox from Robbe in a scale of 1: 4 has a span of 3.5 m, finished coloring, laminate hull and sandwich vacuum wing.
The popular Polish acrobatic glider MDM-1 FOX in a scale of 1: 4 with a span of 3.5 m is processed as a composite model with a finished color with a laminate fuselage and a sandwich vacuum wing into molds. The wing has high strength thanks to the carbon reinforcements of the structure and can withstand high dynamic and static loads. The wing has a proven HQ / W2.5 / 11 profile, the elevator has a symmetrical profile NACA0010.
The model has a light quality laminate fuselage, the wing and elevator are made as a vacuumed sandwich into molds, carbon reinforcements and flanges make the model incredibly strong and light. The model is completely painted in molds, so the surface of the model is perfectly smooth without unevenness. The wing coupling consists of an 18x1mm aluminum tube with a glued carbon rod with a diameter of 16mm. The cabin is glued to the frame, laminate seats and instrument panel are included.
The MDM-1 FOX model is made in a 1: 4 scale to have the prerequisites for a dynamic aerobatic flight with the flight characteristics of a large aircraft. The 4-flap wing allows you to change the curvature of the profile so that its shape corresponds to the given flight conditions and to increase the flight possibilities. Soft landing flaps can be used for landing. The model lands on a landing gear wheel with a diameter of 100 mm. Flight characteristics are extremely good-natured. FOX flies like on tracks, in every situation it is easy to control and dynamically responds to commands during acrobatics.
With such a large model glider, cabin equipment is also an important part. The model has two instrument panels, one is a classic instrument panel in front of the pilot, the other is for the rear pilot.
The elevator is attached with two screws to the exact position of the bed with glued nuts, the rudder is inserted into the prepared holders and into the pins on the upper and lower side of the rudder.
The wing coupling consists of an aluminum tube with a glued carbon rod, this combination can withstand an incredible load and has a very high flexural strength. The wing halves slide towards the root rib, the position of the wing halves being secured by carbon pins.
Fox contains the complete accessories and components needed for finishing, such as couplings, forks and ball joints, rudder levers, couplings, bolts, wheels, etc. The wooden components are designed to be glued to the fuselage.
To complete the model of the MDM-1 FOX glider, you will need to add a 7-channel RC kit, an AC motor and regulator, a propulsion LiPol battery, a suitable charger. A suitable glider starting trolley can be recommended for starting from the ground.
To power the model, we recommend a 2x powered LiPol battery with 4 cells (14.8 V).
