The KAVAN transparent iron-on film is made of a very thin and light high-strength polyester polymer covered with a layer of heat-activated adhesive. It is supplied in rolls with a width of 64 cm and a length of 2 m, the lower side with the adhesive is protected by a clear film.
The KAVAN iron-on film is resistant to modeling fuels - incandescent, detonating and gasoline.
The thickness of the film is 50-60 µm (including glue) and the surface weight is 63-65 g/m2.
Shrinkage of the film is 5-10%; the same in all directions.
For ironing it is possible to use ordinary modeling irons and hot air guns, the working temperature range is approx. 95-180°C. The optimal temperature for attaching to the frame is approx. 95-100°C, the temperature for tensioning approx. 130-140°C, for strongly curved surfaces 140-160°C.
