The optical encoder is designed for larger models (esp. Helicopters) flying under the open sky.

Installation is simple. Fix the sensor beam on the tail of the helicopter with two tie-supplied sensor and connect to the telemetry panel. For aircraft models can fix the sensor eg. On the engine cover screws or double sided adhesive tape so that it has unobstructed "view" on the rotating propeller.

The sensor may be, under favorable conditions, placed at a distance of up to 1500 mm from the (large), propeller or rotor - provided that it is installed sufficiently away from objects that could measurements interfere (e.g. by stabilizing flats "paddles" in helicopter ). Of course it depends on the dimensions of a rotating object - speed measuring osmipalcové propeller to 2.5 cc engine must go much further than in the case of large třicetipalcové "buckets" on the adult "benzíňáku".

The menu tachometer on the PC or on the Aurora 9 is of course necessary to set the correct number of blades (rotor).

Sensor Kit includes: an optical speed sensor with cable, 2 ties, self-adhesive double-sided foam tape, screws 8x1,8 mm 2.
