More info

UBEC 5A-HV 3-10S is a switched DC power stabilizer; It feeds from the 3-10S LiPo battery, the input voltage drops to a level suitable for powering RC receivers and onboard electronics, and stabilizes the output voltage at the set value (5.0 / 6.0V). The UBEC load is 5 A per second, 7.5 A peak. This makes it suitable for large helicopters, multi-kickers, cars, boats or giant aircraft models.

  • It uses an advanced down-converter inverter chip with protection against current and thermal overloading with up to 92% efficiency.
  • 2 optional output voltages (with short-circuit jumper) suitable for all types of receivers, gyros, servos, etc.
  • High current carrying capacity, continuous output current 5 A, peak output current up to 7 A.
  • Short circuit protection at output.
  • Electronic electronics cover and ferrite ring on the output cable to suppress electromagnetic radiation.
  • Wide range of supply voltage 8-42 V.
  • Protection against reverse polarity of the supply voltage. If UBEC is connected to the opposite polarity of the supply voltage, the UBEC will not work but will not be destroyed for this reason. All you have to do is involve it with the correct polarity.
  • LED status indication - The LED lights when the UBEC output voltage is normal.
  • External switch for easy switching on and off UBEC.
  • Special accessories: Downstream DC converter with 0.7 V drop (from 6.0 V to 5.3 V).

Using UBEC

  • Model with electric drive with OPTO controller: Connect the UBEC directly to the outputs of the drive accumulator and plug the UBEC output connector into the battery socket (or other free power socket) on the receiver.
  • Electric drive model with controller with built-in power stabilizer (BEC): Before connecting UBEC, you must disconnect the red wire (+) in the regulator servo unit to disable the built-in BEC." Otherwise, the UBEC connection is the same as the OPTO controller.

Tip: Place a UBEC in the model at a distance of at least 5 cm from the receiver to reduce possible interference.

Descending DC 0.7 V converter

The downstream 0.7 V DC converter is used to connect servos that can not operate at 6V (including Futaba 9241, 9251, 9253, 9254, 9255, 9256, etc.). The device will lower the supply voltage from 6.0V to 5.3V. If the UBEC output is set to 6V, connect the downward transducer between the receiver and the above servos. If you use servos that can operate at 6.0 V, a 0.7 V converter is not required.
