Curtiss P-40 WWII done an enormous amount of useful work in North Africa and the Pacific. Although the handicap of poor performance of its engines Allison at higher altitudes, bravely clashed with faster and obratnějšími opponents relentlessly support ground troops in the role of fighter-bombers. The most famous unit using P-40 is definitely the "Flying Tigers", a unit of American volunteers in the service of Chiang Kai-shek of China armed with Tomahawks made originally for RAF. The kit model is a machine Sqn. Ldr. Bob Neal, who totaled 13 kills.

ARF kit legendary American fighter classic balsa structure to drive the gasoline engine 50-60 cc for experienced pilots giant models. Six-foot Tomahawk is an ideal project for modelers who already has experience with simpler models for the giant engines from 30 to 60 cc, and intends to embark on a flying more complex mock-fast machines with higher wing loading. The high degree of "předpostavení" goes completion of the model fairly quickly and easily - of course, due to model size and complexity of on-board electronics and mechanisms retractable landing gear that is not a project for rookies.

The hull is a classic structure from balsa and plywood with removable fiberglass cowl and transparent canopy. The engine is mounted in a head-down position on the bed corresponding to the plywood motor mount, it is recommended to use anyway sprung bed with bushings. Space for servo rudder control spurs and gas is located in the fuselage above the wing.

The two-piece wing with polosouměrným profile is the classic construction with balsa ribs and rigid cover. The wing is plugged on the side of two aluminum tubular connectors. Ailerons and split flaps are controlled by each pair of servos located in the wing. < / P>

The tail surfaces are symmetrical profile design with a rigid cover celobalsovým fin and horizontal stabilizer. The horizontal tail surface is two-part, plugged to the side of the aluminum alloy tube coupling and ensures screws. Servos are mounted in the horizontal stabilizer, elevator control short straight rods. Rudder and spur are controlled with cords drives, servo is mounted in the cabin.

The whole model is coated with a special semi-matt iron sheet with indicated paneling creating very realistic "warrior" color finish, all laminated parts are painted with colors resistant to the effects of fuel.

The chassis is pneumatically retractable tail type unsprung main legs.

To control model will need at least sedmikanálovou radio system, the optimum is devítikanálová. Serva meet the standard 3-4 kg.cm gas, choke, control and relief valves spur gear; Strong standard with a pull 6-10 kg.cm for rudders and flaps to the elevator control after two strong miniservo. Given the number and power of servos used and the size of the model, make sure well-settled power with batteries of sufficient capacity with cables with sufficient cross section.

Kit includes: built and iron foil coated fuselage, wing and tail surfaces, sprayed fiberglass bonnet, pneumatic retractable landing gear, wheels, fuel tank, accessory kit, Scale cab interior with arch self-adhesive decals and image guidance.
