The Dornier DO-27 was a German single-engine utility aircraft manufactured by Dornier GmbH (later DASA Dornier and Fairchild-Dornier). It was a classically designed upper wing with a fixed stern landing gear and very small requirements for the length of the runway for takeoff and landing.
The fuselage of the model is made of foam EPP pressed into a negative mold. You will find space for the propulsion battery and receiver under the removable lower part of the fuselage.
The two-part sash with a semi-symmetrical profile connected by carbon couplings is also made of EPP foam. The ailerons and flaps are controlled by short straight rods with two pairs of servos mounted in the wing. LED position lights are installed under the plastic covers on the wing and rudder end arch.
The tail surfaces are made of EPP foam, screws are attached to the fuselage. Servos located on the fuselage are used to control the rudders, they are connected to the rudders by wire rods with angular levers. A separate servo located in the rear part of the fuselage is used to control the spur.
The chassis is two-wheeled with wire legs and a steerable spur controlled by its own servo.
All servos (7 pcs in total) are digital sizes 9g with metal gears. The fitted motor is an outrunner size 4250 KV700 with a 50A Hobbywing speed controller. It includes a wooden propeller 13x6.
To control the model, you will need at least a five-channel RC kit - if you leave the model in the default version, where both aileron, flap and rudder servos are connected to one channel of the receiver. If you want to maintain independent servo control of these functions, you will need at least an eight-channel RC kit.
As a drive battery you will need a LiPo four-cell 14.8V 3000-5000 mAh with a load capacity of at least 25 C. The cable to the controller in the model is equipped with an EC3 connector (PELIKAN DANIEL # 1ME1245P and 1ME1245).
