M1A1 Abrams is a modern American tank introduced in the 1980s. He is a typical representative of the category called the "Main Battle Tank" - a fast, heavily armored vehicle with a massive cannon that carries the bulk of the fighting. Abramsy have a laminated armor consisting of layers of ceramic steel and plastic composites (kevlar), which are well-resisting artillery ammunition, rockets and the effects of weapons of mass destruction. The M1A1 version, which is our model, is an improved version of the late 1980s, where the original 105 mm cannon replaced the 120 mm Rheinmetall cannon with a smooth head firing special bulletproof bullets from the depleted uranium M829A1 "Silver Bullet". Auxiliary equipment consists of two 7.62 mm and one 12.7 mm machine guns. M1A1 Abrams is powered by a 1500 HP Honeywell gas turbine that gives a vehicle weighing over 61 tons a speed of up to 68 km / h on the road. The M1A1 Abrams RC electric drive faithfully performs most of the actual tank functions. It is equipped with a realistic chassis with flexible plastic belts, driven, independently hinged and spring-loaded trolleys and tensioning wheels, which allow forward and reverse travel, left and right turns forwards and backwards. There is a pure tank-like "spin-off" - rotation on the spot with counter-motion of the belts. The realistic tune of the tank is underlined by the sound simulation of the engine running, machine gunning and gun shooting. There are, of course, functional lights. The tower is rotated and the cannon is controlled remotely (triggering and raising the barrel). Not only that - the model really shoots! His cannon is not just an imitation but it's a spring-loaded gun with a manual charge of plastic aerodynamically shaped projectiles that mimic the real "Silver Bullets"." For safety reasons, the rubber head has a rubber head instead of a uranium core head; an effective gun cannon is 1-2 m. For the shooting practice the model is supplied with a paper target with the silhouette of the Russian tank T-72.
The transmitter supplied with the model has two levers that control the model's travel, similar to the "rajčáky" in the actual tank: by swinging forward forward, the tank goes straight ahead, while the backward deflection reverses the tank. For example, if you turn the left lever forward while the right lever is in neutral, the tank turns to the right (the left belt moves faster). When deflecting one lever forward and the other back, the tank rotates in place due to the counterclockwise movement of the belt. Other functions are controlled by the buttons: two buttons control the turn of the tower to the right or left (at an angle of max. 340 °), the other two controls the cannon bullet (the movement is accompanied by the gunfire) and the fifth is a cannon.
The RC model controlling model operates in the 2.4 GHz band. This means that more models of the same type can be operated at the same time without worrying about interference. The safe range of the RC kit is approx. 30 m.
The transmitter is powered by a 9-volt battery pack (supplied with the model), powered by a 6-cell 7.2V NiMH 800 mAh kit supplied with the model along with a 200 mA mains charger.
The model is designed to ride in the room, never drive it in water, puddles, mud, sand, high grass, public roads and other places (eg car parks) with car traffic. Unsuitable surfaces are also high "furry" rugs.
The kit includes: a ready-to-go ready-to-go model, a transmitter, a 7.2 V battery, four plastic projectiles, a power charger, a paper target and a guide.
All Hobby Engine tanks use a mechanical spring mechanism with a tensioning force of less than 150 N for firing projectiles. They are therefore not a firearm in the sense of the Firearms and Ammunition Act No. 119/2002 Coll. as amended, and shall not be subject to any restrictions imposed by this Act and related regulations.
