The package contains: pipes with a diameter of 35 mm, heads, stabilizers, surface treatment according to your imagination, parachute, motor insert, necessary accessories for completion, CZ instructions, EN, DE, FR, IT, SP manual.
The Klima Cygnus Kit model falls into the category of rockets with a payload (egg) and is for rocket engines of the C6-3 to D9-7 series. It flies up to a height of 280m, is 690mm long. They descend to the ground on a colorful parachute. Suitable for working in a modeling club.
The Cygnus rocket is equipped with a special payload section that can hold an egg. The upper part of the special two-part head is attached to the lower part with adhesive tape. If a raw egg survives the flight including the landing, one can speak of a perfect flight. You can also participate in competitions with this racket. Of course, you can also load the rocket with other cargo. The rocket model includes a permanent parachute protection (wooden movable partition) and does not require a flail for a protective shield. Stabilizers are made of milled plywood, they are very strong, they are inserted into the groove in the racket tube.
The Cygnus decal completes the look of the model. Landing takes place using the supplied parachute.
Building difficulty 3 rockets are intended for more skilled modellers. There are more laser cut parts in the set. The racket body requires finishing work. The racket has a well-thought-out complex design and a plastic or balsa nose cone. Requires intermediate skills in model building and rocket finishing. Instructions are attached. It may take several days to build.
The assembled model must be painted - we recommend using acrylic spray paint. You can buy spray paints from us or in paint and varnish stores. You can find information on building and firing in this article.
You can also find more information in the Estes catalog.
To launch and fly the rocket, you need to purchase:
Engine burners and gaskets are included in the engine package unless otherwise noted. Estes engines are equipped with electric burners, designed to be ignited by electric current through the firing device. The model can be fitted with Klima engines, also with electric burners or classic igniters. More information about rocket engines can be found in the overview of rocket engines.
Launching with the launch device (motors with electric burners) is carefree and safe - you stand a few meters from the rocket.
Recommended engines: C3-3, C6-5, D9-5, D9-7
The cotton exhaust plug is made of non-flammable fabric, its purpose is to prevent damage (burning) of the parachute from engine exhaust.
To assemble the model, you will need: scissors, pencil, sandpaper, sanding block, modeling knife, universal glue, plastic glue and acrylic paints for possible coloring. For comfortable cutting and protection of the table during assembly, we recommend a work mat.
You can measure the height reached by the rocket using a digital altimeter that is inserted into the rocket. You can use a sextant to measure height from the ground.
