Latest news: AURORA 9X knows Czech!

We are pleased to announce that a new version of software 1.01 has just been made available, including a menu in Czech, German, Spanish and Italian. You can switch languages \u200b\u200bin the INFO function in the System menu. Software updates are made using the HPP-22 USB interface (software version 1.16 or later).

AURORA 9X

Do not be fooled by the glance - the Aurora 9X is really, but really a whole new radio. Judge yourself:

  • The new dual processor guarantees a 7-ms flash response
  • With 4096 steps, you get a 4x finer and more accurate servo versus Aurora 9
  • Super fine digital trims with up to 200 steps
  • New 5.1 "touchscreen with faster response and reduced power significantly prolongs operating time
  • Aurora 9X works with 3 transmission protocols:
    • New super fast single-way AFHSS protocol (with new Maxima receivers and digital servos), which will be appreciated especially by pilots of 3D helicopters and aircraft
    • The existing two-way AFHSS protocol (with Minima receivers and Optima telemetric receivers, with analog and digital servos)
    • SLT protocol
  • Most pre-programmed mixes, gas and collective curves, and freely programmable mixes are comfortably set as 7-point curves
  • New mixes have been added (including aircraft flight for knives, "Swash Ring" for helicopters)
  • Improved plenty of existing features and enhanced programming (eg, copying flight modes)
  • Vibrating engine to highlight alerts and warnings.

We will now discuss the individual enhancements and changes in more detail

HARDWARE NEWS

1. The VF part is now integrated into the transmitter electronics, no longer a removable RF module, which contributes to simplifying the design and increasing reliability in operation." Also disconnected the outer cable of the antenna lead. The paired pushbutton and the LEDs on the RF module are now replaced by software functions controlled by the touch screen.

2. The "Heart" of the electronics is a dual processor that allows (with the use of new Maxima receivers) to achieve excellent latency - which is now the "fastest" RC available on the market. The dual processor also allows for a resolution of 4096 steps for extremely fine and accurate servicing. All this will be appreciated by pilots of 3D helicopters and aerobatic aircraft - coupled with modern fast digital servos can now enjoy really overwhelmingly accurate steering with a lightning-fast response!

3. High CPU power and speed along with a more memory capacity allows the transmitter to operate using several 2.4GHz broadcast protocols :

  • For full use of the Aurora 9X, a new super fast single-way AFHSS protocol with new Maxima 6 and Maxima 9 receivers has been developed to allow for very short latency, which together with a higher frame rate signal Ms ensures a truly lightning-fast steering response. This, of course, requires the use of digital servos with corresponding parameters (Maxima receivers operate ONLY with digital servos, analogue ones are not able to operate with a 7ms repeat signal) .
  • Of course, the Aurora 9X can work with an existing two-way AFHSS protocol (with Minima receivers and Optima telemetric receivers) with analog (with a normal repeat rate of 20 ms) as well as digital servos. When using Optima telemetric receivers, the transmitter offers, of course, telemetry display data from all types of telemetric exchanges and Hitec sensors as well as HTS-Voice telemetry output.
  • Aurora 9X can also work with SLT protocol , compatible with many RTF and Tx-Ready models," Hobbico, Nine Eagles, etc.

4. The new 5.1 "touchscreen has a faster, faster response, and thanks to the new Power Miser technology, also reduced power consumption significantly prolongs the operating time

5. The total number of switches remains the same but now you have four three-position switches (previously only two).

6. The existing sound or visual signaling of operating states, display press, and warning messages are supplemented with vibration alarm . In the transmitter program, you can choose which signaling modes will be active.

7. Aurora 9X comes standard with 7.2M 2000mAh NiMH battery (50% more capacity than Aurora 9). The battery has a new connector (standard 3-pin Futaba / UNI) - "more robust" with proper wiring and more resilient with frequent disconnection and wiring.

8. The Aurora 9X now features a practical plastic stylus for precise and convenient touch screen operation. "Out of Service" you can safely store it in the recessed holder on the back of the transmitter.

SOFTWARE NEWS (Compared to Software V1.09 Aurora 9)

1. Digital trims now have up to 200 steps with an adjustable step size.

2. New program features for aerobatics (ACRO) :

  • Trim flap for precise flap trimming.
  • Mix for knife flight (combined rudder mix -> aileron and rudder -> elevator) with independently adjustable ratios for both sub-mixes for all flight modes.

3. New glider program features (GLID) :
- Offset function for precise individual trimming of both ailerons, both flaps and elevators in all flight modes.

4. New helicopter program functions (HELI) :
- Swash Ring Limit to Cycle Control Deviation Limits for Cycle Control" Br />

5. Enhanced features :

  • Copying Flight Modes - Additional flight modes do not have to create one function after another, but you can copy the existing mode and make only the necessary changes.
  • It is now possible to switch flight modes except for switches and proportional controls (similar to triggering throttle with gas throttle).
  • For Dual Deviations and Exponential Deviations, it is now possible to set different values \u200b\u200bfor both of the movements of the respective driver.
  • Freely programmable mixes are adjustable as 7-point curves versus 3-point at Aurora 9.
  • The gas curves (ACRO and HELI) and the collective (HELI) are freely adjustable for all flight modes as 7-point in X-Y mode. The curve is programmed by selecting the position of the curve point (X-axis) Enter the desired gas or collective value (Y-axis). You can fine tune the curves very fine. If you need it, all 5 "internal" points of the curve can be between 50-90% of the throttle deflection - or anywhere else!
  • Most pre-programmed mixes are adjustable as 7-point curves independently for all flight modes (see the comparison table in the "Technical Parameters" for an overview of the functions).

Note: Of course, if you do not need 7-point curves, you can simply disable any number of redundant points, and the programming of the transmitter is pretty easy.
  • The Mix Spoiler now has an independently adjustable pull-out and slide-in speed with switch control.
  • Automatic assignment of switches - if you switch the switch after entering the switch assignment menu, it is automatically assigned to the function.
  • The Timer menu is completed with a flight counter for each individual model memory." Increasing the 1-year counter state can be derived from turning the transmitter on / off, elapsing the set time or switching the assigned switch. The counter status is displayed in the operation menu.
  • The servo monitor pointer displays now show, in addition to the servo, the set deflection and EPA limits.
  • "Hardware Reverse" - the meaning of the deflections of all the controls and switches on the transmitter can be turned "hardware" into the program - this is useful for example for pilots who add the gas by pulling the knob down.
