The new Spektrum Smart S1500 1x500W DC charger offers a very simple and safe way to charge your Smart battery. The charger is powered from any USB source, when the battery is connected, the charger automatically adjusts optimally and starts charging the battery. Large charging power up to 500W.

The revolutionary Spectrum Charger S1500 with Smart Technology allows you to charge all types of batteries easily and safely. Thanks to its almost pocket size, the charger is easy to carry. The charger has a clear color graphic display. The 500 W charging power is also sufficient for 6-cell lithium batteries that are used in larger RC models. The charger allows you to charge both conventional batteries and Spektrum Smart batteries. If you use Smart Spektrum batteries, using the charger is very simple.

Intelligent Spektrum chargers virtually eliminate problems with charging LiPol batteries. This is possible thanks to the integrated microchip integrated in each Smart battery that communicates with your Smart Charger and automatically determines the best charging parameter settings. Connect the battery to the charger and press Start. Advanced users can take advantage of unique stored data to find out the number of cycles, overcharging and discharge values, battery temperature, capacity and many more, all stored in each battery. In addition, automatic discharge to the storage voltage ensures longer battery life.

The charger is supplied from a source of 7 to 32 V. To use the full power of 500 W, the supply voltage must be higher than the voltage of the connected battery.

In addition to charging the charger can also discharge batteries, measure voltage and internal resistance of individual cells.

Benefits of Smart Spektrum batteries

When the Smart battery is connected to the charger, all charging parameters are automatically set optimally. It is therefore not necessary to set the battery type, charging current, number of cells - all these parameters are set automatically. It is not even necessary to connect the service connector as the electronics in the Smart Battery automatically align the cells.

Of course, the user can, for example, adjust the charge current value. However, it is easier to let the charging parameters be set according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

With Smart batteries, you can check the number of cycles, the maximum temperature recorded, and whether the battery has been overcharged or overcharged during use. The big advantage of Smart batteries is the possibility of automatic discharge after a defined interval (can be set from 12 to 240 hours).

Efficient charger cooling

The internal cooling fan keeps the charger at a safe operating temperature, which is essential when quickly charging larger batteries. The fan does not run continuously, but only when needed. When charging with a power of up to approx. 50 W, the fan does not run at all.
