Hull construction

The basis of the Spartan's extreme performance is its brand new hull, the clean lines of the hull have a step to create the highest rigidity. The light and strong hull made of a special plastic filled with glass fibers must withstand the high stress of a powerful AC drive and is lighter than a laminate hull. The rear bulkhead includes mounting of balancing surfaces, rudders, supports and drive, which eliminates the need for additional reinforcement in the fuselage. At the bow is the Spartan, a molded foam padding that strengthens the hull and prevents the ship from sinking in an accident. The Spartan has a strong hull color, so it is perfectly visible on the water.

Effective metal rudders

The blue anodized aluminum rudder allows precise control of your boat. Cooling of the motor and regulator is ensured by sucking water through the hole in the rudder, which is more efficient even at lower speeds.

Velineon 540XL

The Velineon 540XL AC motor with water cooling has a specially shaped cooling jacket in which water circulates. The Velineon 540XL motor has a balanced rotor, high-speed bearings and a neodymium magnet with high thermal stability.

VXL-6s Marine BL

The VXL-6s Marine BL controller is waterproof, water-cooled, with the option of powering 6-8 cells of NiMH or 2-6 cells of LiPol batteries. It has three programmable profiles, Sport, Race and Training. Sport has 100% forward, 15% reverse, Race only 100% forward and Training 50% forward, 15% reverse. Thermal overload protection and overcurrent protection are a matter of course.

Drive block

For maximum simple service, the entire drive block is removable. It contains all parts of the drive and control, ie the motor with the regulator and the receiver with the servo. All you have to do is loosen the two screws and this whole module can be removed from the fuselage and then conveniently perform the necessary service work on the table. The batteries are located on the sides of the fuselage and are secured with quick-release straps. Spartan has a low center of gravity and therefore a high degree of stability.

BlueTooth

Traxxas has prepared for you a completely new range of RC kits with BlueTooth LE connectivity for RC car models. Originally, it was possible to equip RC transmitters with a docking station for Apple devices. Traxxas continues to develop and has prepared an RC transmitter with a slot for a wireless BlueTooth module. Thanks to this, you can wirelessly connect any device with a BlueTooth interface and the Apple iOS operating system (iPhone, iPod, iPad, ...) or Google Android (Samsung Galaxy, ...) to the transmitter. The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore, the app for Google Android devices is free on GooglePlay.

We recommend buying


You need 4x AA batteries for the transmitter, drive batteries and a suitable charger for drive batteries for commissioning. In any case, you need a special lubrication grease for lubricating the ship's shaft or a lubricator with Marine grease for normal operation. For best results, install a pair of 3-cell LiPol batteries for cars in series with a capacity of at least 5000mAh. The model can be optionally installed Bluetooth module and telemetry - voltage and temperature sensor. Items are listed in the Recommended Accessories, Batteries, and Telemetry sections.
