Modular construction

The modular design connects the front and rear of the chassis with the center chassis, into one fixed platform. This advanced solution ideally distributes impact energy while allowing easy model service. You have access to all important components, model settings and service maintenance within a minute.

Durable chassis

The chassis of the model consists of a durable plastic tub on which the front and rear axles rest. The controller with motor and servo are on one side of the chassis and on the other side is the battery. This solution achieves an ideal weight distribution and low center of gravity, for perfect driving characteristics.

Propulsion system

Extreme performance, requires the most durable components. Therefore, the drive system consists of a steel front wheel, a center differential for power distribution between the front and rear axles. Furthermore, the torque is transmitted by a central shaft made of extruded aluminum to the front and rear differentials and subsequently to the wheels via robust telescopic half-axles. All rotating parts are mounted in high-quality encapsulated bearings. Differentials are equipped with metal gears of the highest resistance.

Oil dampers

High-stroke oil dampers use dual X-rings for perfect sealing and perfect operation. The robust design in combination with the high volume of oil can absorb even hard impacts in difficult terrain. You can tune the shock absorbers to your liking by adjusting the springs and changing the oil viscosity.

Dual-bellcrank control

The Dual-bellcrank control system with two rotating towers mounted on ball bearings ensures perfectly smooth operation in the most demanding conditions. The integrated cam-type servo-saver effectively absorbs shocks and protects the steering servo gears / p>

Battery bed

The innovative bed securely holds the battery in place with a swivel partition. This makes battery replacement a matter of seconds and you do not have to loosen staples or tapes.

SledgeHammer tires

The model is equipped with 2.8 "chrome wheels with SledgeHammer tires . The tuning tires are made of a durable rubber compound to withstand extreme performance. The aggressive pattern has maximum traction even in difficult terrain.

540XL AC motor

Traxxas has prepared a completely new range of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity for you. The TRA6511 Bluetooth module (sold separately) allows you to connect the RC model with the clear graphic application Traxxas Link, which you can install into your Smartphone free of charge.

Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of the RC model Traxxas with stunning visualization and absolute accuracy of settings. Servo control

The 2075 digital servo with DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 9.0 kg.cm and speed 0.17 s / 60 ° @ 6.0 V. For water resistance *, the servo box and the output square are fitted with a seal. Two ball bearings provide very smooth running.

Traxxas TQi receiver

Body reinforcement

The body is equipped with a frame on the inside, which serves as reinforcement when the model overturns. For even greater durability, wide washers are newly placed under the screw heads, the roof of the model is equipped with a frame against scratching the body, as well as the rear part.

Automatic rotation on wheels

This exclusive, patented Traxxas feature was originally implemented in the X-Maxx model and is now used in this model as well. The Self-righting function is activated remotely via the transmitter, by rapidly adding throttle and braking, the model gradually swings and turns back on the wheels.

The function is most efficient when using a fully charged 3S LiPo battery.

Wheelie Bar

Wheelie Bar rear wheels are essential on a model with such performance as the new Hoss 4x4 VXL. The reinforced rear rail with wheels allows driving on the rear wheels and at the same time prevents the model from overturning when full throttle is added.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, quality tire glue, silicone shock absorber oil and a set of screwdrivers. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for cars ..

The screw glue drips the thread or the head of the screw, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving do not allow the screw connection to loosen. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with a reasonable torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it could be impossible to loosen a screw glued in this way at all! From our offer, we recommend a medium-strength Fusion brand adhesive.

The tire glue adheres the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary for the tire to be firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the adhesive is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks in the tire would gradually form around the rims! We recommend Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.

Occasionally it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage can be large. For these cases, so-called repair kits are supplied. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are supplied with all shock absorbers.
