The Sukhoi Su-35 (NATO code "Flanker-E") is a Russian multirole fighter aircraft that is a significant upgrade of the Sukhoi Su-27 machine. At the beginning of development, it was named Su-27M, but over time, there were many significant changes to engines, radar, weapon systems and navigation, so it was named Su-35. The first prototype of the aircraft took off in 1988. It was put into service in the Russian Air Force in 1995.
