Mamba X controller

Castle Mamba is a controller designed for 1:10 RC car models or lighter 1:8 models. The power supply can be in the range of 2 to 6 LiPo batteries, the waterproof construction is a matter of course. The regulator can be used both for hobby and professional use. The novelty is the possibility of connecting a sensor motor, an additional input for changing the controller settings during a race or when riding from a crawler,



The regulator allows you to record measured data - current consumption, supply voltage, supply voltage ripple, BEC voltage, temperature and revolutions in the memory. After the end of the race or during test drives, you can view this data on the computer and evaluate it.



The Castle Mamba X controller includes an integrated BEC power supply capable of delivering a current of 8 A, the voltage can be adjusted in the range of 5.25 to 8.0 V.



New series of X controllers from Castle Creations for RC car models

Castle Creations has launched a completely new line of controllers marked with the letter X. These are the XL X controller for 1:5 RC model cars, the Mamba Monster X for 1:8 RC cars and the Mamba Micro for 1:16 - 1:18 RC cars . This new X-series features the following common features:




  • Waterproof construction of the regulator - the electronics are embedded in a special potting compound
  • Restored support for sensor engines, which are important in increasingly popular crawlers
  • Adjustable voltage value of the BEC source - so you can fully use both standard and High Voltage servos
  • New waterproof switch for reliable switching off and on of the regulator
  • Thanks to the use of a more powerful microcontroller, the motor runs even better, and data logging is now enabled
  • The regulator is equipped with a secondary input, thanks to which you can change any of these parameters while driving using a free channel of the transmitter, see below.
  • It goes without saying that the basic parameters of the controller can be programmed using a transmitter or a programming card. Complete programming options are available in the Castle Link PC application.
  • A more powerful BEC source for reliable power supply of powerful servos in the model
  • Regulators can record the most important measured data - voltage progress, revolutions, etc. You can then view the measured data from the plant on your computer and evaluate it.
  • Support for the Castle Live Link protocol - the controller can also be recommended for industrial applications, when it is necessary to have feedback about revolutions, temperature, etc.


Possibilities of using the secondary input AUX2 - white wire


  1. Throttle power limitation - you can limit the maximum engine power. An ideal choice for when the RC car is driven by children or less experienced drivers.
  2. Reverse power limitation - you can limit the maximum power of the reverse.
  3. Brake power limitation - you can use the transmitter to limit the maximum brake power - an ideal choice for racing with Crawlers
  4. Brake force in neutral - with the help of a transmitter you can limit the brake force in neutral - an ideal choice for Crawlers
  5. Turn off/on reverse
  6. Limiting the maximum torque of the motor - if you need to prevent wheel slippage, you can reduce the maximum torque provided by the motor at any time during the race. Get an edge over your competitors!
  7. Erasing measured data - you can remotely erase the record of measured data during the race, e.g. before the start of the race


Detachable cables to the receiver and the sensor of the sensor motors

The cables leading to the receiver and to the sensor are connected to a gold-plated connector. This solution offers the option of customizing the wiring for your RC car exactly according to your ideas. If the cables are damaged in a crash, you simply replace them. Cables for both the receiver and the sensor can be purchased as spare parts. The connector for connecting the sensor motor is equipped with a blank from the factory. If you decide to use sensor motors, you need to slide the plug out of the connector. A simple and extremely reliable solution!
