Characteristics
Kit of a non-floating model of the historic sailing ship HMS Beagle from 1820 in 1:55 scale. The British Royal Navy Brig was built by Woolwich Shipyard on the Thames. The cost of construction was almost _ 8,000. In 1825, she took part in 3 research expeditions as a reconnaissance ship. On the second expedition under the command of Captain Robert Fritz Roy, Chales Darvin was also on board. On this journey, Darwin gained knowledge from which he later developed his evolutionary theory of the origin of species.
The kit is richly equipped with all fittings, inflatable boats and sewn sails. The keel and ribs are precisely laser cut. The material is of top quality. Assembly is aided by detailed construction plans and instructions with many illustrations.

We recommend buying tools, glue and paints for the construction.
Modeling tools and pad
Suitable tools are needed to build ship models. We recommend an excellent set of Modelcraft tools for ship modelers (set of 12 pcs), or Modelcraft tools for modelers (set of 18 pcs). We also recommend the purchase of nylon clamps and indispensable model pins. We recommend a modeling pad for adjustment, precise cutting, gluing of parts and also as protection of the table.
Glue and paints
For gluing, we recommend universal dispersion glue and Robitronic instant glue medium 20ml. We recommend acrylic enamel paints for painting. Apply the paints with high-quality brushes (flat brushes on surfaces, round brushes for details).
