It has a draft of about 7 m and a full load displacement of 4146 tons. The standard crew of Amerigo Vespucci is 16 officers, 70 non-commissioned officers and 190 sailors. With adepts of the Naval Academy (Accademia Navale), its crew reaches up to a total of 450 people.
