CALDERCRAFT HMB Badger Brig 1778 1:64 kit
Badger should be the prey of the American Revolutionary War. These brigs were typically used for escort purposes, coastal transportation, freight transportation, and the maintenance of trade agreements. Briggs are always equipped with two masts. They are considered particularly agile, but also uncomfortable and tight. This used to be a problem on longer routes.
The kit, as is usual with Calder Craft, is designed very precisely in collaboration with the British Maritime Museum. All wooden parts are CNC machined, the material of the belts is in selected quality. The assembly parts are etched from a white metal and brass casting. The brass cannons are turned. Detailed instructions and plans allow for very fast and clean work. The estimated completion time is scheduled for approximately 5 months of daily evening work. Sails are not offered for this purpose.
