The kit of the non-floating model COREL Wappen von Hamburg in the scale of 1:50 from 1667 was a ship that was supposed to protect merchant ships with the growing influence of the port of Hamburg. The ship had rich armaments and beautiful decorations. The package includes wooden parts, moldings and a number of fittings, rigging, canvas for sails, plans, etc.

Wappen von Hamburg was commissioned by the Hamburg Navy and merchants to accompany the ship's trade convoys and protect them from enemy attacks or raids by corsairs or pirates. The ship was the victim of a fire after eleven convoys and in 1683 exploded in the port of Cádiz. Admiral Berend Jacobsen Karpfanger, who remained aboard Hamburg, died in the accident.

Construction requires a considerable amount of experience and patience in building historic ships and changes for beginners. However, the effort is rewarded with a beautiful exhibit that will captivate every friend of this craft with its delicacy and attention to detail. The canvas for sewing the sails themselves is part of the set.
