The Maverick Scout Rock Crawler is primarily intended for those interested in the RC Truck trial category and eventually starting trial riders. It will also serve as a leisurely traveler in challenging terrain full of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
The skeleton and base of the chassis consist of two vertically-laid aluminum plates on which axles are fixed by means of torsion bars and adjustable oil sumps. Power from the engine is transmitted via a gearbox, from which the force is distributed by the plastic hinges to both axles. Rock Crawler is specific because it does not have a classical dipirencial, but semi-trailers are mechanically locked to form a rigid axle and the power is so symmetrically distributed to all four wheels under all conditions. The overall chassis design provides extreme features such as very sharp axle crossing, a massive visor, etc. Adhesive soft pads deal with every obstacle. The particular appearance of the model underlines the patented pick-up body. A two-channel steering wheel set in the 2.4Ghz range is used for control.
The set contains a fully assembled model with powerful electric motor and speed controller, 2.4Ghz RC kit, NiMH 7.2V 1800mAh battery, and a power charger.
