TRX-4 chassis

The TRX-4 chassis is built of two steel profiles, which ensure sufficient rigidity of the chassis. Thanks to the proven location of the engine in the front part, a sufficient load on the front wheels is ensured. The battery is located in the axis of the chassis, so the model is precisely balanced and does not tilt while driving. The chassis is thought through to the smallest detail, including cable routing and mounting holes for optional accessories.

Axles with axle gearbox

The TRX-4 chassis uses gantry axles with an axle gearbox. Axle transmission increases ground clearance, reduces stress on differentials, transmissions, cardan shafts and further reduces torsional force - the model tilts less

The front wheels can be turned by an angle of 45 °, the steering is provided by a Traxxas 2075X servo with metal gears. Thanks to the new chassis, the model achieved a great approach angle.

Two-speed transmission

The model is equipped with a two-speed transmission. The gear change is controlled by a red rocker switch on the transmitter. This solution makes the TRX-4 a very versatile model that can drive slowly and quickly - as you need .

Lockable differentials

The differential locks are independently controlled by 2 servos. Power from the servos is transmitted via cables to the differentials. The shutters are controlled by a three-position switch on the transmitter and provide the following combinations:

• Both differentials are open
• Only the front differential is closed
• Both differentials are closed

GTS oil dampers

Four oil-filled GTS shock absorbers provide smooth damping and perfect driving characteristics. The aluminum bodies of the shock absorbers are equipped with a nut for adjusting the spring preload. Special sealing X-rings ensure maximum tightness of the damper around the piston rod.

Wildtrack wheels

Canyon Trail 1.9 "tires from the extra soft S1 compound are glued to replicas of the original Wildtrack wheels. The wheel carrier is 12 mm. The RC model car is also equipped with a fully functional spare wheel.

Non-staple body

The new system of attaching the body with beaks in the wheel arches is quick, easy and the appearance of the body is not disturbed by the clips. You can disassemble the body only by squeezing the beak and pulling the body up. The body is even lighter, you just need to put it on the chassis.

Power steering

Titan 21T engine

The model is powered by a Titan 21T 550 DC motor. The motor provides smooth running from low revs. For better cooling, a propeller blowing air to the rotor is integrated in the motor.

DC regulator

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, high-quality tire glue, silicone shock absorber oil and a set of screwdrivers. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for cars.

The screw glue drips the thread or the head of the screw, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving do not allow the screw connection to loosen. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with a reasonable torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it could be impossible to loosen a screw glued in this way at all!

The tire glue adheres the tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time the adhesive is flexible after hardening. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks in the tire would gradually form around the rims!

Occasionally it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the damper piston rod surface or seal condition is in poor condition, the oil leak may be large. So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are supplied with all shock absorbers.
