Possibility of setting the wheelbase

The wheelbase of the SCX10 ™ III Jeep® JLU Wrangler can only be changed by changing the mounting of the frame profiles and adding optional swing axle shafts. The drive shafts are designed for high loads and significantly improve driving characteristics even in rugged terrain.

Battery holders

The Wrangler SCX10 ™ III Jeep® JLU has a standard battery compartment that holds standard LiPol or NiMH battery packs. There is also space on the side rails for smaller batteries, which are needed for other accessories such as lighting, winch and the like.

Portal axles with hypoid transmission

The advantage of the AR45 gantry axles is, of course, the higher ground clearance, but also the advantageous torque reduction on the output shaft and the reduction of the torque on the other drive components.

Improved suspension geometry

The suspension geometry is based on the previous version of the SCX10-II chassis, but is slightly modified for the new version of the chassis. The front suspension has been optimized to reduce steering load, and the rear 4-link suspension reduces torque. Front-wheel drive is provided by steel half-axles with universal joints.

Aluminum oil shock absorbers

The Jeep® JLU Wrangler has long-stroke shock absorbers that have a body made of light anodized aluminum. For coil springs, the pressure force can be adjusted to achieve the optimum damping rate (the spring preload can be conveniently adjusted using the nut on the damper body). The caps have a screw hole for checking the condition and filling of the oil. Thanks to the size and volume of the shock absorbers, their function is guaranteed along the entire stroke length.

NITTO TRAIL GRAPPLER TIRES

The S30 Nitto Trail Grappler S30, which is part of the SCX10 ™ III Jeep® JLU Wrangler, is taller and wider (4.74 x 1.7), which increases the ground clearance of the car and ensures better grip of the tires when driving in various terrains.

Licensed 3-piece beadlock discs

The officially licensed KMC XD Machete discs, which are famous in the field, are stamped in satin chrome and contain amazing model details. Because they are three-piece discs, the tires can be easily mounted, removed and replaced without gluing.

Recommended LiPo batteries

For normal riding, we recommend a 2 or 3 cell LiPo battery (7.4 V, 11.1 V), with EC3, IC3 connector.

Recommended NiMH batteries

NiMH batteries are not demanding on proper handling and are therefore suitable if the RC model car is operated mainly by children (NiMH batteries will not be destroyed by complete discharge). However, driving time with NiMH batteries will be a bit shorter.

Recommended chargers for Spectrum Smart batteries

If you decide to use modern Smart LiPo batteries in the RC model of the Axial car, then we recommend this charger:

• Charger with mains power supply Spektrum S150 with one 1x50W output.

Recommended chargers for conventional LiPo and NiMH batteries

If you decide to run the model on conventional LiPo and NiMH batteries , we recommend using universal chargers with a power of at least 50 W.

Shipping bag

Carry the RC model comfortably and safely in a Robitronic carrying bag. The bag is airtight and has an elastic edge that can be adjusted to the model. Thanks to the Velcro strap, the model is easy to carry. The synthetic material can be easily cleaned with water or soap suds if required.

Lighting models

For a breathtaking appearance, we recommend equipping the model with LED lighting. If the model already contains basic lighting, you can expand, improve or modify it according to your own needs.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Axial RC car, you need tire glue, bolt glue, a tool kit and silicone shock absorber oil. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for RC cars.

The tire glue adheres the tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time the adhesive is flexible after hardening. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer.

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the damper piston rod surface or seal condition is in poor condition, the oil leak may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases.

Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into the metal material (eg screws in the motor, pin in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this adhesive.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective covers are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long travel times. On the contrary, the LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
