Traxxas again pushes boundaries and overcomes all others. The unique RC model of the Traxxas TRX-6 Mercedes G 63 6x6 TQi RTR is a true, licensed replica of the actual G63.
This monstrous six-wheel off-road was, in 2007, originally developed for the Australian Army. Since 2013, it has been sold in a limited edition with a V8 AMG twin-trubo engine, 6x6 portal axles, a G-class pick-up and a luxurious interior. Despite a huge length of 5.88 meters and consumption of more than 30 liters, the off-road was immediately sold out and the car manufacturer decided to keep the sale in 2015.
Expedition RC model Traxxas TRX-6 Mercedes G 63 6x6, is built chassis TRX-4 . All the advantages of the chassis, such as gantry axles, four-point suspension, remote-controlled differentials, remote-controlled two-speed transmission, high steering angle and more, have been retained, and an additional axle has been added. Unique 6x6 drive will be unsurpassed in the field. Excellent workmanship underlines the body in black or dark gray metallic. The faithfully crafted body retains all the details, including a number of chrome parts. New are clear windows that complete the 3D look of the RC model.
The leading and trailing leading edges are fitted with precisely machined aluminum plates, which look amazing and also serve as chassis protection. The body of the RC model has a great looking chrome frame as well as a real car. Beautifully shaped chrome bumpers, side steps, mirrors, handles and other details underline the look of the model. Clear windows add a new dimension to realism.
The specially designed TRX-6 chassis of the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6 consists of steel profiles fixed by crossbeams. Added transverse stiffeners guarantee stiffness and torsion resistance, even with such a long model. Fenders attached to the frame prevent dirt from entering and add authenticity to the model.
Another axle increases traction to overcome obstacles that would otherwise not be overcome. With the 6x6 drive, you can even get on the steepest slopes and overcome all the challenges you face.
TRX-6 Mercedes 6x6 is already equipped with complete lighting. All you have to do is turn on the model and be carried away by amazing evening rides. LED lighting not only looks great, but is also functional and perfectly illuminates the way.
The TRX-6 chassis uses portal axles with axle gear. The axle gearbox increases ground clearance, reduces stress on differentials, transmission, cardan shafts and further reduces torsional force - the model tilts less
The front wheels can be turned through a 45 ° angle, with the Traxxas 2075X servo with metal gears. Thanks to the new chassis, the model has an excellent approach angle.
The model is equipped with a two-speed gearbox. The gear change is controlled by the red rocker switch on the transmitter. This solution makes the TRX-6 a very versatile model that can drive slowly and quickly - just as you need it .
Differential locks are independently controlled by 2 servos (the differentials of both rear axles are controlled together). The power from the servos is transmitted by means of Bowden cables to the differentials. The shutters are controlled by a three-position switch on the transmitter and provide the following combinations:
Six oil-filled GTS shock absorbers provide smooth damping and perfect driveability. The aluminum bodies of the shock absorbers are fitted with a nut to adjust the spring preload. Specially designed springs allow both rear axles to move independently for maximum traction.
Like the entire RC model, the wheels are designed to the smallest detail. The stylish red stripe and Mercedes emblem are not missing on any of the six wheels. The wheels are glued soft tires S1 designed for all types of terrain. Standard driver 12 mm hex.
The heart of the Traxxas is the 550 Series Titan 21T DC motor and the XL-5 HV Electronic Controller. Both the motor and the controller are primarily designed to be powered by a 3-cell LiPo battery with a capacity of at least 4000 mAh. The model can also be powered by 7-cell NiMH batteries.
The Traxxas XL-5 HV supports 5 driving modes:
In addition to accurate and reliable control, the four-channel RC set also has a slot for placing a Bluetooth module (sold separately TRA6511). The Bluetooth module allows you to connect the RC model to the well-arranged Traxxas Link graphic application, which you can install on your smartphone free of charge.
The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore , and the Google Android app for free on GooglePlay .
Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you total control over the operation and tuning of the Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute precision. Traxxas Link displays telemetric data in real time, measures speed, speed, battery voltage temperature, and now also tilt model. You can share RC model settings, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or user, eg children. All in an application with brilliant graphics, which is a matter of course from Traxxas.
More information about the application and telemetry options here.
