Traxxas TRX-4 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 1:10 is a RC model car with a licensed body. The body is equipped with authentic accessories such as chrome bumpers, mirrors, wipers, handles and sidebars. The front grille is detailed, including headlamps waiting to complement optional LED lighting. The unique appearance creates clear glass, giving the model its fidelity to the original. Last but not least, the model creates chrome tires with original design.

The model is modeled on a shorter wheelbase. Traxxas has used its already legendary TRX-4 off-road chassis with a 312 mm wheelbase. This chassis is extremely stable and thanks to the portal axles it has excellent ground clearance. Thanks to the remotely controlled two-speed gearbox, together with the remotely controlled differential locks, the RC model overcomes every obstacle.

The Chevrolet Blazer was introduced by General Motors in 1969. Its shorter wheelbase and excellent off-road capabilities made it a clear leader among the 4x4 off-line. Currently, the 1979 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a collector's item from the RC model.

TRX-4 chassis

The TRX-4 chassis is built of two steel profiles that provide sufficient chassis rigidity. Thanks to the proven positioning of the engine in the front, sufficient front wheel load is ensured. The battery is located in the chassis axis, so the model is precisely balanced and not tilted while driving. The chassis is thought out to the smallest detail, including cable routing and mounting accessory holes. The wheelbase can be increased to 324 mm with tuning sets.

The TRX-4 uses axle transmissions with axle transmission. The axle gear increases ground clearance, reduces differential loads, gearboxes, propeller shafts, and torsional force further - the model leans less.

The front wheels can be turned by 45 °, the Traxxas 2075X servo with metal gears is used for steering. With the new chassis, it has achieved a great approach angle.

Two-speed gearbox

The model is equipped with a two-speed gearbox. The change of gear is controlled by the red rocker switch on the transmitter. This solution makes the TRX-4 chassis a very versatile model that can drive slowly and quickly - just as you need it.

Lockable differentials

Differential locks are independently controlled by 2 servos. The power from the servos is transmitted to the differentials by Bowden cables. The shutters are controlled by a three-position switch on the transmitter and provide the following combinations:

  • Both differentials are open
  • Only the front differential is closed
  • Both differentials are closed

Motor and regulator

The heart of the Traxxas TRX-4 is the Titan 21T 550 DC motor and XL-5 HV electronic controller. The engine and the controller are primarily designed to power a 3-cell LiPo battery with a capacity of at least 4000 mAh. The model can also be powered by 7-cell NiMH batteries. < / p>

The Traxxas XL-5 HV controller supports 5 driving modes:

  1. Sport : Forward, Brake and Reverse
  2. Race : Forward and brake. Reverse is not available
  3. Training : Forward driving limited to 50% power, brake and reverse limited to 50%. This mode is suitable for children
  4. Trail : Forward, Brake, Reverse. Control near neutral is very fine
  5. Crawl : Forward, Neutral and Straight Reverse.

Detailed body, authentic wheels

The model is equipped with a detailed bodywork. Look forward to an authentic chrome front grille, built-in license plates, mirrors, sidebars, ornamental trim and wipers. All elements of the original Chevrolet look from 1979. Another distinctive feature is the clear glass that adds depth to the body.

The TRX-4 Chevrolet K5 Blazer rims off the ground with original 1.9 "chrome wheels. The wheels are mounted on a 12 mm hexagon and mated. Canyon Trail tires with foam inserts and aggressive pattern provide maximum traction.
