Designed by Wolfgang Egger at the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, the two-seater line is designed to reflect the Alfa Romeos style in the 1950s and 1960s. The "Competizione" name is a reference to the 1948 6C 2500 Competizione, which competed in the 1949 and 1950 Mille Miglia races and secured the third position both times.

The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is a sports car. It was presented for the first time as a concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003 and later offered for sale for the 2007 model year.

The body is made of carbon fibers manufactured by ATR Group. The 4.7 L ° V8 engine assembled by the Ferrari has a maximum output of 331 kW (444 hp). The six-speed transaxle gearbox is equipped with automated gear selection using steering column blades and can be used in manual mode.
