Ford Capri was a sports car of the American car manufacturer Ford, introduced in January 1969 at the Brussels Motor Show and started selling the following month. It was produced in three generations. A total of 1,922,847 Capri cars were produced. Coupé body can accommodate 2 + 2 passengers.

The Continental model used the Ford Taunus V4 engine at 1.3, 1.5 and 1.7 L, while the British version was powered by Ford Kent at 1.3 and 1.6 L. Ford Essex V4 2.0L (British) and Cologne engines were the first to be launched. V6 2.0 L (German models). At the end of the year, new sports versions were added: the 2300 GT in Germany, using a 92 kW two-cylinder carburettor carburetor, and in September 1969 3000 GT in the UK, with Essex V6, capable of 138 hp (103 kW).
