As tires, engines, batteries and tracks evolve, Team Associated adapts and improves with each iteration of the RC10. The engineers at Team Associated's Area 51 decided to get more power out of the RC10B74 4WD buggy platform by introducing the RC10B74.2 and RC10B74.2D models. Our goal was to reduce overall weight, lower the center of gravity, and improve handling during jumps and impacts. We exceeded expectations.

The RC10B74.2 and RC10B74.2D models feature sculpted front and rear transmissions that lower the center of gravity by removing weight from the high points of the car. We've modified the differentials to improve cornering speed and increase impact stability, allowing the buggy to corner faster on carpet and dirt tracks with high grip. Equipped with the latest 13mm high-volume damper technology from Team Associated, the RC10B74.2 takes the handling of jumps and impacts to the next level. The introduction of rack-wing front suspension arms and the inclusion of LTC gear sets for the differentials make the RC10B74.2 chassis easier and more predictable on any track.

Features of the B74.2 Team kit

• New lightweight molded gears front and rear: Two fixed-height front gears with 0 and +2 mm differential height options. One rear derailleur with RC10B6 style inserts allowing 0, +1, +2 and +3mm differential height selection.
• New aluminum dampers and springs with a large 13mm thread and machined damper pistons for better handling on impacts and jumps
• New gull-wing front suspension arms and associated shock tower for a lower center of gravity and better steering predictability
• LTC differential kits are included. Which reduce performance binding and provide a more predictable power transfer.
• The new battery mounting system uses inserts to adjust the inclination of the weight. O-ring style battery strap with pull tabs.
• New larger 3.5mm tensioners with updated rod end style ball studs to increase durability and reduce suspension binding
• New central bulkhead fan mount that mounts the fan above the engine for better cooling performance.
• New -2mm fender mounts for use with slicks and low profile carpet tires that further lowers the center of gravity.
• +3mm aluminum steering rack to optimize steering at low ride heights
• 66mm rear drive shafts and CVA axles for more traction when riding for power and more predictable handling
• For RC10B74.2: 2-piston heavy-duty, high-capacity center slip clutch with LCF pad material
